I am a southerner who lives in the Pacific Northwest carrying out the legacy of my grandfather a great country music/bluegrass legend from the Grand Ole Opry. My grandfather is Charlie Louvin of the Louvin Brothers and I've recently discovered just how deeply the bloodline of writing and embodying living into one's true nature goes. I am a mental health practitioner who practices trauma informed, culturally responsive social work in communities and with schools. I've worked with young people and their families my entire adult life to help us all find our ways back home to our true selves.
I believe in the power of yoga, writing, journaling, meditating, dancing, and just getting our stuck energy out any way that we healthily can. I teach yoga as of 2020 after experiencing my own personal journey through the pandemic and being healed and held through the combination of yin yoga and journaling. I want to share what has helped me so profoundly and would love to invite you along to ride the wave with me.
I have a decade of experience working with children, youth, and families in public and private sectors directly in homes, schools, & community settings while also working behind the scenes to design, implement, challenge, and push through systems to move our world to a more just and equitable place.
I enjoy sitting 1-1 with folks hearing how their story impacts their experience and goals as much as I enjoy crunching data and challenging the status quo within systems to adjust to an ever-changing & diverse world. I strive to practice from a trauma-informed, culturally responsive framework. I have letters after my name, papers on my walls, and student loans that could demonstrate credentials, but - to me - the more important 'credential' is my desire to offer healing and hope and help. I am extremely detail-focused and organized which I have paired with compassion, empathy, and professional experience and degrees across the Pacific Northwest to get to this shore.
I seek to continue working directly with individuals while also fostering a better future utilizing my skills and passions within systems and in society to create meaningful opportunities for passions to become professions - or at least side hustles!
I have experience with event support and implementation, teaching yoga classes to young people, data management, logistics, and clinical case management, therapy, and spiritual healing.
Get connected for exclusive invitations as we continue offering Yin Yoga + Journaling for self-exploration and self-care.
